Artist's Bio

Name
John “Jack” Lloyd
Jack held a lifelong interest in Art using it in various capacities as time and opportunity might permit. After his working career, Jack chose to pursue Art at a higher level. Favoring realism in his artwork, John uses either pastels or acrylics.
A common aim of Jack's work is the creation of a mood or atmosphere in his mind that can resonate with the viewer as they choose to interpret their response.
As Jack moved in his development as an artist from his beginnings with acrylics to his current preference of pastels, he feels fortunate to have studied under professionals such as:
  • Ann Brennan and Pat DeVirgilis at Greater Norristown Art League
  • Teresa DeSeve and Doug Tweddale at The Wayne Art Center
  • Frank Short at Montgomerey County Community College
